Hello and welcome!

My name is Emily and I am a flute teacher who has space for taking on more students either in person (if you live in York during school term time) or online on zoom. I can also teach music theory up to grade 5.

I am a final year biomedical science student, who has been teaching flute and theory since 2021. I have recently passed my DipLCM with a highly commended and hope to do the next level in the next year. As well as performing as a soloist, I currently play flute and piccolo with the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra, and have been playing 1st flute with the City of York Light Orchestra for their Beethoven Project 2022-2024. I play, arrange and conduct music for the YSJ Music Ensemble, and sing with the York Uni Choir.

I work as a teaching assistant in York / Sheffield for Teaching Personnel and am fully DBS checked with up to date safeguarding training (April 2024)

I’ve recently performed:

Mozart Mass in C minor and Brukner Te Deum in York Minster with University of York Choir.

My next performance:

Walton Symphony no.1 in Bb minor and Luis Serrano Alarcón Cello concerto.
